Intercultural education helps learners to understand and accept as equal classmates coming from different cultures and speaking different languages, with other points of view, values, and behaviors. Individuals faced with diversity, psychic and physic dislocations, after a “culture shock” period will act to enrich their knowledge, to become more sensitive to the new socio-cultural environment, and to adapt their “Self” to the new reality.
At the very beginning stage, culture shock is not simple at all.
A different culture, a different language, a different system of communication.
How do these individuals act in these specific circumstances? How do they react to and elaborate these new experiences?
Time, place and context play an important role in coping with change.
